Perfect for couples, groups, families, schools & universities, wedding parties and other gatherings.

This is the place that fuelled the imagination of Bram Stoker when he wrote Dracula and inspired other authors such as Lewis Carroll and Charles Dickens. Whitby has drawn visitors over the centuries from maharajas to monarchs. An extraordinary town that has inspired explorers, artists, writers, film makers and photographers for hundreds of years.

Meander over cobbles echoing with ancient footsteps and a thousand muttering tongues. Streets where you can walk across secret vaults and buried treasure without even knowing it. Pass through layers of history in a place where the unusual became normal in the day to day of this unique town and its people.

We meet at the top of the 199 steps in front of St Mary's church, the walk starts in the graveyard and finishes outside The White Horse and Griffin Coaching Inn near the swing bridge.

Journey into a world of extraordinary histories including tales of Captain Cook, St Hilda, Whitby Abbey, St. Mary's church, Whitby's maritime and Viking heritage, with many more surprising highlights and curiosities.
